Bridgestone Racing Battlax V03: New racing tire with maximum grip and innovative SPRINT specification from 2026

Bridgestone has announced the launch of its new premium racing tire, the Racing Battlax V03, which will be available on the European and North American markets from 2026. This tire is designed exclusively for use on the racetrack and is aimed at professional drivers and ambitious amateur racers who value maximum speed and the highest level of grip.

Advanced technologies from international top-level racing

The Racing Battlax V03 is based on technologies that Bridgestone has continuously developed over many years in international motorsports, including the FIM Endurance World Championship. This experience is reflected in the tire’s newly designed compound, which, according to the manufacturer, is designed to provide an exceptionally high level of grip. According to Bridgestone, all titles in this racing series have been won by teams using Bridgestone tires over the past five years.

 


Revised construction for more contact with the track

Both the front and rear wheels of the Racing Battlax V03 feature a revised design. An enlarged contact patch is intended to improve the handling of both tires. The rear tire in particular benefits from new manufacturing technologies that optimize the tread pattern and are designed to deliver significantly faster lap times.

Internal company comparisons have shown that the Racing Battlax V03 significantly reduces lap times compared to its predecessor, the Racing Battlax V02 with soft compound. According to Bridgestone, the well-known stability of the grip performance is maintained even over longer race distances.

 


New SPRINT specification for sprint races

With the new Racing Battlax V03, Bridgestone is introducing a “SPRINT” version of the rear tire for the first time. This special specification is optimized for use in sprint races and, according to the manufacturer, offers the highest level of grip within the V03 series. The innovative rubber compound of the SPRINT tire enables even better lap times than the previous Racing Battlax V02 with soft compound. The new SPRINT rear tire is therefore specifically aimed at racers who are looking for maximum performance in sprint racing conditions.

 


Motorsport as a mobile laboratory for further development

Bridgestone describes motorsport as a “mobile laboratory” in which innovative compound and manufacturing technologies are continuously developed. These technologies are then integrated into series products such as the Racing Battlax V03.
