New 450cc parallel twin model under discussion
The Apache RR450 is to be based on a newly developed 450cc parallel twin platform, which was created in collaboration between TVS and BMW. This platform also forms the basis for the new BMW F450GS model, which is also to be presented at EICMA, but at the BMW Motorrad stand. The two companies are continuing their collaborative approach, which was already used for the 310cc model series. It is assumed that BMW will initially present an adventure version, while TVS will follow with a sportier version.
Strategic model policy: Global focus for the 450 series
According to TVS, the presentation of the new 450cc machine is primarily aimed at international markets and is intended to strengthen the brand’s presence in developed countries. While the 450 platform is aimed at global customers, the recently introduced 300cc series – with the upcoming Apache RTX 300 adventure bike and the RTS X 300 supermoto concept – will first be launched in India. These models were developed specifically for the domestic market.
Apache RR450: Concept study expected at EICMA
Although the exact details are still unconfirmed, it is likely that TVS will initially showcase the Apache RR450 as a concept study at EICMA. The production version is expected to follow a year later at the earliest. The company has so far remained tight-lipped about the technical data and final specifications. The presentation in Milan marks an important step for TVS in gaining a foothold in international markets.
Conclusion: TVS sets the tone at EICMA 2025
With the planned unveiling of a new 450cc sports bike and an expanded adventure model range, TVS is targeting a wider audience and underlining its international growth strategy. The trade fair presentation on November 4 is eagerly awaited, as it could be the first time a parallel twin motorcycle from TVS is on display.
