Third model in the 440 series
The first joint model was the Harley-Davidson X440, followed by the Hero Mavrick 440. However, the latter was recently discontinued due to weak sales figures, even though it was considered a solid motorcycle from a technical standpoint. Hero MotoCorp apparently wants to focus more on the Harley-Davidson brand in this segment in the future, as it enjoys high brand awareness and appeal in both metropolitan areas and smaller cities.
A scrambler version of the Mavrick 440 had already been developed, but its market launch has been postponed indefinitely as things stand.
Expected features
Official technical details about the new Harley-Davidson are not yet available. However, it is expected to have a distinctive, appealing design and performance characteristics that are particularly suited to longer trips on country roads and highways.
In terms of pricing, Hero MotoCorp apparently plans to position the bike above the X440. Since this model has already found a stable customer base, the company now wants to experiment with a higher-priced variant to increase profitability.
