Not only the technology is remarkable, but also the development process. The bobber was created in just three days in the workshop of Thornton Hundred Motorcycles. The specialists are experienced in converting bobber models and had recently already realized a DeWalt-inspired version that went in a similar direction visually.
Integration of Quad Lock mounts and cameras
The project focused on the maximum integration of Quad Lock components. The aim was to integrate as many cameras and mounts as possible harmoniously into the vehicle design and offer different perspectives for recordings. To achieve this, the developers experimented with different positions and angles to find the optimum mounting points. Despite the short construction time, the result was an extraordinary machine that impresses both functionally and visually.
Customizing details and presentation
The special Quad Lock Bobber was given new rims, custom-made decals and its own presentation stand for the event in addition to the supercharger and the multitude of brackets. The official unveiling took place on July 10 as part of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which runs until July 13.
The bike is intended to be a unique piece that demonstrates the possibilities of modern smartphone mounts in combination with elaborate customizing. Quad Lock and Thornton Hundred Motorcycles have worked together in the OEM sector before, so the collaboration on this project is nothing new.
