Design and concept: a tribute to speed and precision
The RMB01 presents itself as a unique blend of artwork and riding machine. The semi-faired design is vaguely reminiscent of sporty naked bikes, but stands out from previous Brough models with its subtle winglets and clean lines. Its claim to be “a true homage to speed and craftsmanship” is impossible to overlook. The striking, mechanical-looking details are particularly eye-catching – a reference to Richard Mille’s watchmaking artistry.
The cockpit is another highlight: the watchmaker’s signature style is unmistakable here. The displays, including the rev counter and speedometer, were designed by Richard Mille. Gears and precision mechanical details are clearly visible – an eye-catching feature reminiscent of the brand’s complicated watch movements.
Engine and technology: Turbo V2
At the heart of the RMB01 is the familiar 997 cm³ V2 engine from Brough Superior – but this time with turbocharging. According to the manufacturer, the engine delivers 130 hp (95.6 kW) at an unspecified speed and develops high torque for powerful acceleration. The engine block is made of solid 5000 aluminum, which, thanks to precise CNC machining, is reduced from an original 160 kg of raw material to a final weight of just 23 kg. This complex manufacturing process not only promises high stability but also an impressively low weight.
Chassis and components: exclusivity down to the last detail
The chassis features a Fior front fork with double wishbone geometry – a trademark of Brough Superior. This special design separates the steering and suspension, ensuring high stability in fast corners and reducing dive when braking. Many components, such as axles and joints, are visibly mechanical in design and reminiscent of clockworks – a stylistic bridge to partner Richard Mille.
The custom-made wheels are made of CNC-milled aluminum and are characterized by a combination of lightweight construction and stability. The entire structure, including the frame with its load-bearing function for the engine and an exoskeleton made of forged carbon, represents state-of-the-art technology and exclusive design.
Equipment and customization
The RMB01 is available in three exclusive color variants: Nocturnal Sapphire, Selene, and Pearl of Speed. Each machine is assembled by hand in France and tested on the test bench. Production is limited to 150 units, each individually numbered. The bike can only be purchased by pre-order from the manufacturer in Toulouse or through selected dealers.
