Base: Triumph Bonneville T120 with parallel twin
A Triumph Bonneville T120 served as the starting point. Although the choice may seem unusual at first glance, the experts at Thornton Hundred Motorcycles regularly use this model for their conversions. The T120 has a liquid-cooled 1,200 cc parallel twin with eight valves and a 270-degree crankshaft offset. The engine output is 77.9 hp (57.7 kW) at 6,550 rpm. The maximum torque is 105 Nm (77.4 lb-ft) at 3,500 rpm.
Radical changes for a unique look
The powertrain remained virtually unchanged for the DeWalt Edition. However, the machine was extensively modified to match DeWalt’s signature style. Highlights include ultra-light carbon wheels, custom-made wide triple clamps, swiveling handlebar lights, and a custom-made seat. Numerous attachments have been removed or replaced with custom-made parts, giving the bobber a rugged and unique appearance.
