KTM 125 Enduro R: Compact and sporty
The KTM 125 Enduro R is aimed at riders with an A1 driving license or the B196 extension. The single-cylinder four-stroke engine with 124.9 cm³ produces 15 hp (11 kW) at 10,000 rpm and offers a maximum torque of 11.4 Nm at 7,750 rpm. The Enduro therefore complies with the Euro 5+ standard and delivers solid performance for beginners and experienced riders alike.
The chassis is designed for everyday use and off-road riding. A non-adjustable 43 mm WP Apex fork with 230 mm spring travel is used at the front, while a WP Apex Split Piston Monoshock with adjustable spring preload is used at the rear. The weight of the machine is 152 kg (approx. 335 lbs) ready to ride, and the seat height is 890 mm.
KTM 390 Enduro R: More power for A2 licenses
The 390 Enduro R is the bigger sister and offers 44 hp (32 kW) at 8,500 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm with its 398.7 cm³ single cylinder. This means that it delivers noticeably more power than the 125cc model, yet remains easy to handle.
The chassis has been further optimized: The 43 mm WP Apex fork offers adjustable rebound and compression damping (30 clicks), while the monoshock rear suspension strut allows the rebound damping (20 clicks) to be adjusted in addition to the spring preload. The weight increases minimally to 159 kg (approx. 350 lbs).
Technical highlights
Both models share some important technical features, including
- Wheels: 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel, suitable for enduro tires and road-ready options.
- Brakes: ByBre braking system with 285 mm discs at the front and 240 mm at the rear, supported by a dual-channel ABS that can be deactivated for off-road use on the rear axle.
- TFT dashboard: A 4.2-inch display provides information on speed, gear selection and fuel level. The 390 Enduro R also has Bluetooth functions such as navigation, music and call control.
- Riding modes: The 390 Enduro R offers “Street” and “Offroad” modes. While Street increases the traction control intervention, Offroad enables more rear wheel slip and the ability to ride over obstacles.
- Shifting and clutch: Both models are equipped with a 6-speed gearbox that includes a PASC anti-hopping clutch. A quickshifter is optionally available for the 125cc model.
Prices and availability
- KTM 125 Enduro R: From £4,899 (approx. 5,650 € / 6,200 USD)
- KTM 390 Enduro R: From £5,699 (approx. 6,600 € / 7,200 USD)
Both models will be available from March 2025. They will be manufactured by Bajaj in India, which means they will remain unaffected by the current production problems in Mattighofen.
