Kawasaki is expanding its model range for 2025 with the new Ninja 1100SX, a versatile supersport tourer designed to tackle both long distances and city traffic with ease.  Shortly after the announcement of the Versys 1100, the Ninja 1100SX is presented as a modern motorcycle with a range of upgrades.

More displacement for 2025

Probably the most significant update for the Ninja 1100SX is the increase in displacement.  Instead of 1043 cc, the model now brings 1099 cc to the road.  However, this is just the beginning of a series of adjustments that are intended to further consolidate the Ninja 1100SX in the touring and sports sector.

Improved performance and less shifting

Thanks to the increased displacement and a modified gearbox, the 2025 Ninja 1100SX offers more torque across the entire rev range.  The need to constantly shift gears is reduced – especially thanks to the longer 5th and 6th gears, which enable more relaxed riding.  Another new feature is the optimized quickshifter, which now works from 1500 rpm and allows smooth gear changes at low engine speeds.

Comfort for driver and passenger

In terms of comfort, the Ninja 1100SX remains true to its line.  A USB-C port is now integrated on the handlebars as standard, making it easier to charge devices on the move.  Other features such as electronic cruise control, various performance modes, a cornering management system, K-TRC traction control and intelligent ABS provide additional safety and control.

The braking system has also been improved: an enlarged rear brake disk provides even more braking power.  Despite the increased displacement and power, the Ninja 1100SX is set to offer even better fuel efficiency for 2025.  The newly installed Bridgestone Battlax S23 tires support the increased performance of the motorcycle.

The new SE version

In addition to the standard version, Kawasaki is also launching an SE version (Special Edition) of the 2025 Ninja 1100SX.  This offers some exclusive features, including the powerful Brembo M4.32 brake callipers at the front, steel-flex brake lines and a high-quality Öhlins S46 rear suspension with remote preload adjustment.  Heated grips are also fitted as standard on the SE version – a plus point for touring in colder weather.

Modern technology and connectivity

Both models, the standard and SE versions, are compatible with the latest version of Kawasaki’s Rideology app.  This app allows riders to make various settings on their motorcycle, call up riding data and display routes ridden on their smartphone.  Voice control functions have been added to the app for 2025, which could herald the next generation of interaction between rider and motorcycle.

Touring equipment and accessories

The Ninja 1100SX is ideally equipped for long tours.  It has a height-adjustable windscreen and a selection of color-coordinated luggage, which is available directly from Kawasaki dealers.  Various Edition models can also be ordered directly.  An ever-growing range of accessories allows riders to customize their motorcycle to their liking.
