Rumors of a new Honda supersport-bike with 600cc have been around for a while. Now they got a lot louder and revolve around a presentation of the Honda CBR600RR-R in October.
In 2016, Honda stopped producing its mid-range sportsbike. The reason was the introduction of Euro4 and the resulting high development costs to adjust the CBR accordingly. Almost all manufacturers let the class die out at that time.
Many manufacturers have now rowed back and are building sporty motorcycles in this displacement class again. Honda should now also get back in, it is spoken from a CBR600RR-R.
Rumor has it that the new model should presented at the MotoGP Thailand Grand Prix in March. Since the GP date had to be postponed to October due to the Corona crisis, Honda is said to have postponed the launch of the new 600s to this date.
