Is a new Honda CL500 Scrambler on the way?

Patent drawings show the outlines of a possible Honda CL 500 Scrambler. The Japanese magazine Young Machine has created a rendering from them and often they are amazingly close to the future reality with their ideas.

Young Machine assumes that Honda is working on a CL250 and CL 500, which are basically based on the Rebel. This assumption is supported by patent drawings.

It is likely that the CL500 will share basic components with the future CL250. Brakes and suspension could be identical, only the chassis would have to be adapted for the larger engine. According to the patent drawings, the frame is a somewhat modified form of the Rebel frame. A flat seat and a rather square fuel tank can also be seen.

We can assume that the Retro Scrambler will also be powered by the Rebel’s engine. At the moment, however, all this must still be regarded as a rumor.

In the meantime, the model was presented, you can find all info and data here
