Since 1930, the world’s most famous riders have participated in GP events in Brno. Until 1982, people were driving through villages and the western parts of the city on the street, named after the first Czechoslovakian president T.G. Masaryk. In the eighties, a new racetrack was built, which should lure the Formula 1 to the Czech Republic. In 1987 Brno hosted the Czech FIM Grand Prix. The track is equally popular with fans and drivers. The new track, which was built in a natural depression, offers the spectators excellent visibility. The racetrack is constantly changing in heights: wooded slopes and fast hilly curves are the ultimate test of driving skill and technique
