In honor of the 9-time world champion, Valentino Rossi, who recently ended his career in MotoGP, Yamaha is releasing a special R1 for the track that not only features some GYTR parts.
Tribute to Valle
Valentino Rossi became world champion 9 times in his motorsport career. He competed in 425 races and scored 115 victories and 235 podiums.
To celebrate his career, Yamaha offers the R1 GYTR VR46 tribute. The special paintwork is by Aldo Drudi, Rossi’s long-time helmet designer and friend.
The R1 GYTR VR46 has the upcoming GYTR specifications for 2022, as well as features from WorldSBK development. New features include carbon fiber fairing and a full carbon subframe. The fuel tank has been increased in volume to 22 liters. The brake components come from Brembo, the suspension elements from Öhlins and for the ECU they decided on the REX 140 Marelli.
