Voge RR 660 Infinity: China’s new mid-range sports bike with in-line four-cylinder engine

Voge unveils the RR 660 Infinity, a mid-range sports bike with an in-house developed 660 inline four-cylinder engine from BMW partner Loncin. The motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 200 km/h.

The Chinese motorcycle market is growing: Voge presents the RR 660 Infinity

Over the last few years, more and more 660cc motorcycles have entered the market.  It started with Aprilia and its parallel twin, followed by Triumph with the three-cylinder of the Trident 660 or Tiger Sport 660. The Chinese manufacturer Voge will now also enter the ring with its RR 660 Infinity.

Voge shows first details and pictures of the RR 660 Infinity

During a dealer conference in China in February 2023, Voge presented first pictures and information about the new RR 660 Infinity.  The plan is to officially unveil the machine later this year.  The RR 660 looks very sporty in the drawings shown so far and features a 660 inline four-cylinder.

The engine: an in-house development by Loncin

Unlike many other Chinese engines, which are replicas, the 660 in-line four-cylinder is an in-house development by BMW partner Loncin.  The engine is said to be 10 percent lighter and 10 percent more compact than comparable engines.  The unit features water cooling, fuel injection, double overhead camshafts (dohc) and 16 valves.  According to rumors, it will rev up to 13,000 rpm and produce over 100 hp.  Exact details have not yet been announced.

Performance and suspension: Over 200 km/h and premium components

In any case, the RR 660 Infinity is said to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and be able to reach a top speed of over 200 km/h.  Brembo components are responsible for braking power, supported by an ABS system.  There is also to be a slip control system.  The suspension elements are from Kayaba (KYB) and can be individually adjusted.  The single-arm rear swingarm is a special feature in this class.

Where will the RR 660 Infinity be placed in the market?

Although the bike is convincing in terms of technology and design, it is still unclear how it will fare in comparison with old mid-range bikes such as the Kawasaki ZX-6R, Honda CBR600RR or Suzuki GSX-R600.  It also remains to be seen how the RR 660 Infinity fares against the Aprilia RS 660.  The RR 660 could fill an interesting niche between these two market segments, especially since the old 600cc class has died out in Europe in sporting terms.

When will the RR 660 Infinity be launched?

There are no details yet on market launch and pricing.  It is still unclear when Voge will launch the RR 660 Infinity and if the bike will be exported to Europe.  In any case, Voge shows that the Chinese motorcycle market continues to grow and produce ambitious models.

This shows that the Chinese motorcycle industry is growing stronger and stronger and is increasingly looking to gain a foothold in international markets.  With the success of motorcycles like the Zongshen RZ3 and the increasing ambitions of Chinese manufacturers, the Infinity will probably not remain the last interesting model from China.

Can Voge keep up with the established brands?

The crucial question for the success of the RR 660 Infinity is whether Voge can keep up with the established brands in terms of quality, reliability and customer service.  If so, they could establish themselves as serious competitors in the long term.

If the RR 660 Infinity is successful, it is conceivable that Voge will continue to expand its model range to cover different market segments.  It is possible that we will also see naked bikes, adventure motorcycles or other sports models from Voge in the future.

Conclusion: The RR 660 Infinity – an exciting motorcycle with potential

The Voge RR 660 Infinity is an interesting motorcycle that has the potential to shake up the mid-range supersports market.  With the RR 660 Infinity, the Chinese motorcycle industry shows that it wants to evolve and win over demanding customers.  The future will show whether Voge and the RR 660 Infinity live up to the high expectations and whether they can establish themselves on the international market.
