Northern Irishman Davy Morgan passed away after a serious accident on the third lap at the 2022 Supersport race. The accident occurred at the 27th milestone.
Davy Morgan was a very experienced TT rider. He made his debut at the Isle of Man TT in 2002, and the 2022 Supersport race was his 80th start in the Tourist Trophy. The 52-year-old’s biggest successes were a 7th place in the Senior TT in 2006 and a 5th place in the Lightweight TT in 2008.
In total, he finished in the top20 25 times and claimed 14 silver, and 30 bronze replicas. His fastest lap around the Montain Course was 125.134 mph (TT 2010).
