New three-cylinder engine with 115 hp

At the heart of the Tiger Sport 800 is a newly developed three-cylinder engine with a displacement of 800 cm³.  This produces 115 hp (84.6 kW) at 10,750 rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 84 Nm at 8,500 rpm.  Even in the medium speed range, 90 percent of the torque is available, which ensures powerful acceleration.  In conjunction with ride-by-wire technology and the electronic throttle grip, the engine responds directly and precisely to every movement of the wrist.

Agile handling thanks to high-quality suspension

The chassis of the Tiger Sport 800 is designed for sporty yet comfortable riding.  A Showa upside-down cartridge fork with separate function and adjustable rebound and compression damping is used at the front.  At the rear, a Showa monoshock suspension strut with adjustable rebound damping and hydraulic spring preload ensures stability, even when fully loaded.  With a weight of 214 kg (471 lbs) with a full tank, the handling remains agile and light.

Excellent braking system and Michelin tires

Reliable deceleration is ensured by radially mounted four-piston brake callipers on the front axle in conjunction with two 310 mm disc brakes.  A 255 mm brake disk with a single-piston floating calliper is fitted at the rear.  The standard cornering ABS helps the rider to brake in a controlled manner, even at an angle.  Road 5 Sporttouring tires from Michelin ensure contact with the road and are designed to offer good grip in different weather conditions.

Comfort for rider and pillion passenger

Despite its sporty genes, the Tiger Sport 800 offers plenty of comfort on longer tours.  The riding position is upright and the ergonomically shaped seat with integrated grab handles ensures comfort for both the rider and pillion passenger.  With a seat height of 835 mm and a narrow design, the motorcycle is also suitable for smaller riders.  Additional comfort is provided by the one-hand adjustable windshield and aerodynamic fairing parts, which ensure better wind protection and reduced fatigue on long journeys.

Technology for safety and comfort

Triumph has placed great emphasis on rider-oriented technology in the Tiger Sport 800.  Three riding modes are available as standard: “Sport”, ‘Street’ and ‘Rain’.  These make it possible to adapt the throttle response and traction control to the respective conditions.  The cornering ABS and cornering traction control, which work on the basis of a 6-axis inertial measurement unit, offer additional protection and stability when cornering.  The standard cruise control and Triumph shift assistant provide relief and comfort, especially on longer journeys.

High-quality equipment and connectivity

The multifunctional TFT display, which can be operated intuitively via switches on the handlebars, offers a clear display of all important information.  With My Triumph connectivity, Bluetooth functions such as telephone and music connection as well as turn-by-turn navigation are integrated.  The LED lighting system with daytime running lights ensures better visibility and a striking look.

Comprehensive range of accessories and long maintenance intervals

Triumph offers an extensive range of accessories that allow riders to customize the motorcycle to their liking.  In addition to an Akrapovič silencer and heated grips, there is also a specially developed luggage collection that blends seamlessly into the design of the Tiger Sport 800.  The 18.6-liter tank capacity also ensures a good range for long tours.

The maintenance intervals of 16,000 km or 12 months also contribute to the low operating costs and make the Tiger Sport 800 an attractive choice for touring and everyday riders.

Availability and prices

The Triumph Tiger Sport 800 will be available from February 2025 at a price of 11,795 euros (approx. 13,000 USD) in Germany and 12,995 euros in Austria.  It will be available in four color variants: Sapphire Black, Graphite, Cosmic Yellow and Caspian Blue.
