While Ducati itself has not yet made any official confirmation, test rides with a prototype version have recently been spotted, allegedly hinting at the development of a DesertX with an 890cc V2 engine.

Ducati is currently conducting a worldwide recall for all Panigale V4 and Streetfighter V4 models with single-sided swingarms. All models built between 2018 and 2025 are affected – essentially all models since the introduction of these series. The reason for the recall is the rear axle, which is being replaced with a new version as a precautionary measure. Around 7,000 vehicles are affected in Germany and more than 10,000 in the USA.
At the San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix, Ducati presented two new models that combine uncompromising performance with high-quality materials and exclusive design: the Diavel V4 RS and the Multistrada V4 RS. The two motorcycles were unveiled by Ducati factory riders Marc Márquez and Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia directly in the pit lane of the Misano World Circuit.
Even though the FIM MotoE World Championship will take a break at the end of the 2025 season, Ducati is continuing to push ahead with the development of alternative drive technologies. The focus is on the V21L prototype – an electric motorcycle that has not only been tested in MotoE, but has now also been unveiled with solid-state batteries for the first time. The new development stage made its debut on September 8, 2025, at the IAA Mobility in Munich.

The fascination with motorcycles often begins in childhood—not infrequently through the example set by a family member. Ducati has taken up this idea and is collaborating with Italian toy manufacturer Peg Perego to launch a series of electric children's vehicles. The traditional brand from Bologna is thus offering the opportunity to introduce children to the world of motorcycles in a playful way.
Ducati is expanding its cultural dimension and, together with Italian artist Andrea Crespi, is opening a new chapter in the connection between art and motorcycle design. Crespi has transformed the Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia into a work of art that will become part of the company's own collection in Borgo Panigale. Supported by the Fondazione Ducati, the work will also be on display at the Ducati Museum as part of a temporary exhibition starting in July.
Ducati is working on a new chapter in motorcycle technology - an automated clutch that does not neglect comfort or sportiness. What initially sounds like a classic step towards automatic transmission turns out, on closer inspection, to be a highly developed, adaptive system aimed at both ambitious riders and racing. With this technology, Ducati is clearly not just trying to catch up, but to set its own standards - in its own style: technically sophisticated, adaptable and future-oriented.

The information comes from the USA, where the machine became public via an entry in the VIN decoder of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This provides the first tangible indications of the technical orientation and performance potential of the new powerhouse.
