With the RSV4 X-GP, Aprilia has opened another chapter in the history of exclusive super sports bikes. The strictly limited special edition model was unveiled at the Catalan Grand Prix and sold out worldwide after just 14 days. Aprilia will unveil a new, strictly limited special edition model at the Catalan Grand Prix this coming weekend. The motorcycle, which is expected to be released under the name X GP, is heavily based on the RS-GP—the Italian manufacturer’s MotoGP racing motorcycle—in terms of both technology and appearance. The new model marks the tenth anniversary of the RS-GP in the premier class of motorcycle racing.

In recent years, Aprilia has become one of the most innovative manufacturers in the field of MotoGP aerodynamics. Newly published patent specifications provide detailed insights into previously unused developments of the RS-GP for the first time. The documents come directly from Marco De Luca, a former Formula 1 aerodynamicist who now heads the technical development department at Aprilia. The focus is on concepts that are intended to emphasize ground effect and cornering stability even more than is currently customary in MotoGP.

With the RS 125 GP Replica, Aprilia is launching a new top model in the 125cc class in June 2025, which is closely based on the RS-GP25 MotoGP racer in terms of both appearance and technology. Like the factory bike, which will be ridden by Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi in the 2025 season, the Replica features a detailed replica of the official livery and the distinctive sponsor logos of the Aprilia Racing Team.

Aprilia appears to be preparing a new edition of the RSV1000.  At the beginning of 2025, Piaggio, the parent company of the Italian brand, had the model name “RSV1000” protected again – initially in the USA.  This trademark protection is valid until at least November 2026 and covers both motorcycles and accessories with this name.  While official confirmation from Aprilia is still pending, there are many indications that the traditional brand is working on a new V2 super sports bike.

With the Tuono 457, Aprilia is presenting its latest model, which has been specially developed for young motorcycle fans.  The machine combines performance, technology and the typical Tuono design and is based on the 457 platform, which has already won many fans with the RS 457.  As a lightweight, agile naked bike, the Tuono 457 is not only designed to impress in everyday use, but above all to be fun to ride.

The Aprilia RSV4 X Ex3ma is a new racing motorcycle developed on the basis of MotoGP technology.  Aprilia Racing, known for its success in MotoGP, is launching the fourth chapter of the X-Series with this model.  Since 2019, the X-Series has been developed as a track-only motorcycle, starting with the RSV4 X, followed by the Tuono X and the RSV4 X Trenta in 2022.

The world of motorsport is about to take a remarkable turn: Trackhouse Racing, a name that has already made a splash in the NASCAR Cup Series, has announced its entry into MotoGP for 2024.  As an independent team, but with a strong partnership with Aprilia, Trackhouse enters to bring a fresh American spirit to the MotoGP landscape.
