Suzuki teasered a BS6-compliant V-Strom 650 XT for the Indian market. This also makes a Euro5-compliant version for Europe more and more likely.

Since the beginning of April, the BS6 emissions regulations have been in place in India, most of which can be compared with the Euro5 standards that apply here. So far, manufacturers have focused on European or North American emissions regulations. However, the rapidly growing Indian motorcycle market is now also influencing motorcycle development.

Although new emissions regulations have now been introduced in India, Suzuki is now teasering a V-Strom 650 XT. The engine must therefore have been re-tuned accordingly. It has not yet been possible to say whether or what else has been changed. However, if you look at the teaser image, you can see no differences from the current model. It therefore looks as if the changes were limited to the drive.

The announcement for India also increases the likelihood that a version with Euro5 will also be launched.
