Suzuki is reportedly pushing forward with the development of a Variable Valve Timing (VVT) system for its small-capacity motorcycles. Recently surfaced patent documents reveal that the Japanese manufacturer is working on a VVT system tailored for its 249cc single-cylinder engine – the one currently powering the V-Strom 250 and GSX-250R.
The Suzuki V-Strom 1050DE will be launched in 2025 with a revised design and proven technology. The adventure bike remains a firm favorite for travel enthusiasts who don't shy away from gravel tracks. With three new color combinations and a robust technology package, the V-Strom 1050DE has everything you need for long tours and rough terrain.
With the GSX-8R, Suzuki presented a completely new sports bike at the beginning of 2024 after a long break. Now the Japanese manufacturer is bringing a strictly limited special edition to the UK with the GSX-8R Kiiro - only 60 units will be offered. The price for the exclusive model is £9,599, which corresponds to around €11,200 or around $12,000.
Suzuki's traditional participation in the Suzuka 8 Hours is celebrating a remarkable comeback in 2025 - and under completely new circumstances. With the renewed use of the GSX-R1000R as part of the “Team Suzuki CN Challenge”, the Japanese manufacturer is not only committing itself to motorsport, but also clearly to sustainability. Despite withdrawing from MotoGP and the World Superbike Championship (WSBK), Suzuki is maintaining its presence on the race track - albeit in a different form.
