Technical features and safety certifications
The EOX, pronounced as “Ee-yos”, complies with ECE 22.06 and DOT safety standards. The shell of the helmet consists of a QUAD-MATRIX composition that combines T300 carbon fiber with Kevlar, nylon and fiberglass. These materials were chosen to provide a good balance between lightness and durability.
Construction and design for improved properties
When designing the EOX, the focus was on improving aerodynamics as well as heat and noise regulation. The helmet features an integrated spoiler and a visually seamless integrated visor that contributes to the aerodynamic profile and minimizes drag. Noise levels have been slightly reduced compared to previous models and the design improvements are also intended to promote thermal airflow.
Fit and visibility
By evaluating customer feedback, Ruroc has optimized the fit of the EOX. The helmet is available in three shell sizes to accommodate different head sizes and comes with an additional set of thin cheek pads to allow for customization. The helmet offers a 215° field of vision, supported by a new, tool-free visor change system.
Ventilation and communication technology
The EOX offers six optimized ventilation slots and a channeled EPS liner that allow for customizable air circulation. In collaboration with Cardo Systems, the new optional Shockwave Mesh communication system has been developed, allowing you to communicate with up to 15 riders over a distance of up to one mile without relying on WiFi or a cellular signal.
Availability and pricing model
From April 24th, the EOX will be available via Ruroc’s website with prices starting from £399 / $499 / €539. The helmet will be offered in a variety of finishes, including matte and gloss paint finishes, as well as options with visible carbon fiber structure.
