Three hot bikes from Italy for 2015. The differences between the three supersports, what’s new and what performance they have you read in this post.
[sam id=2 codes=true]”Ducati Panigale 1299“, “1299 Panigale S” and “R Panigale“. The three Supersport-Motorcycles from Bologna appear in 2015. The 1299 is somewhat misleading, since the new Panigale actually has only 1,285 cm3, the racing version Panigale R even only 1,198 cm3. But all three have a maximum output of 205 hp. The R reaches the performance but only at a higher Speed.

Motor data
At an engine speed of 10,500 revolutions of the two cylinders engine has incredible 205 hp. The maximum torque of 144.6 Nm is reached at 8,750 rpm. This means a power increase of 10% compared to the previous model. The Super Quadro of the Panigale is the most advanced and most powerful twin-cylinder engine there ever was. This is achieved, for example, by a larger piston diameter of 116mm.
More power and better torque curve without the hole in the bottom center is the result. Is controlled through the whole ride-by-wire, so there is no direct connection between the throttle to the engine via a throttle cable.
An extremely high power to weight ratio is achieved by the low dry weight of 166.5 kg.
Valve clearance inspection every 24,000 km
Compression ratio is 12.6: 1 increased / 60.8 mm stroke
Chassis
The Chassis was also modified. The steering head angle is now 24 degrees to provide greater agility in the curves. A better traction should be achieved by the offset of the point of pivot around 4mm to bottom.
Wheelbase of the 1299 Panigale is 1,437 mm, weight distribution 52% front and 48% rear. The chassis of “Sachs” is fully adjustable.
You will be equipped with cast aluminum tri-Y-spoke wheels. As an original equipment tire Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa used in sizes SP 120/70 ZR17 and 200/55 ZR17.
Brakes
[sam id=2 codes=true]Monoblock Brembo calipers bring a significant weight reduction. Four 30 mm pistons push the brake pads against the 330 mm brake discs and ensure excellent braking performance. The new curves ABS system that the extremely light Bosch 9.1MP ECU installed was used.
The electronic helpers of the Panigale
[sam id=”22″ codes=”true”]Of course, the new Panigale is fully equipped. Curves ABS, Tracktion control, Wheeliecontrol, Quick Shifter with Blipper (up and down shifting without a clutch), Engine braking control … Most controls can still finely regulated in 8 steps.
There are three driving modes. In the mode “wet” the power is capped at 120 Ps. The TFT display also has a few interesting features. If the track display mode is selected, the inclined position is displayed. A lap time function for the race track is also available. For this purpose the Ducati Data Analyser + GPS (DDA + GPS) is used.
The new design
Too big changes compared to 1199 are not. The aerodynamics were improved by a modified shield. The nose was slightly modified and enlarged air intakes let the little one breathe better. At the rear was also worked.
The headlights use LED technology.

Useless Knowledge on the edge: The Panigale is named after the district in Bologna on the Ducati is established.
Ducati Panigale 1299 S
The S version is equipped with some finer components. These include a semi-active suspension from Ohlins. Here, the suspension is adjusted automatically within a fraction of a second due to the current situation. This also applies to the steering damper.
Several additional keys to change the settings of the drive are also available and the S and R version reserved. Instead of the Tri-Y wheels Tri-W are installed.

Ducati Panigale R
The Panigale R is the racing version of the new Ducati. She has to correspond to the SuperbikeWM rules “only” a displacement of 1198 cm3 . The 205 Ps they still reached, but only at 11,500 rpm. The maximum torque is somewhat lower than in 1299. 136.2 Nm are at 10,250 revolutions.
When Panigale R was implemented much of the Superleggera. These include the titanium connecting rods, titanium valves and two-ring Piston.
She gets a mechanical Ohlins suspension and thrown in a lightweight lithium-ion battery. This alone means a reduction in weight of 2kg. Overall, it is even 6 kg lighter, which is achieved by using carbon fiber parts.
The R will be equipped with the Tri-W rims.
The swingarm pivot will be possible in 4 positions, thus the wheelbase can be changed and allows 1437 mm to 1442 mm.
