GasGas has announced two new 700 models. The ES 700 is an enduro and the SM 700 is a supermoto. Both models are based on models from the KTM family.
GasGas SM 700
Propulsion is provided by KTM’s 693cc single-cylinder engine. It produces 75 PS and 74 Nm. It was transplanted into a chromoly steel tube frame. It is damped with WP Apex components. The 17-inch spoked wheels are factory fitted with Conti SM Evo tires in sizes 120/70 ZR 17 at the front and 160/60 ZR 17 at the rear. For braking components, the decision was made to go with a radial caliper from Brembo and a 320 disc at the front.
The tank in the rear holds 13.5 liters. The dry weight is 148.5 kg. The seat height is 898 mm. Two riding modes are available. ABS and traction control are lean angle dependent. A quickshifter incl. blipper function already comes as standard.
The price is 12,599 euros.
GasGas ES 700
The ES 700 shares engine and chassis with its sister model, the SM 700, but the wheels have different dimensions. The DID rims have sizes of 21 and 18 inches and are fitted ex works with Conti TKC 80. The tire dimensions are 90/90 at the front and 140/80 at the rear.
Damping is with WP Xplor components, increasing the suspension travel to 250 mm. The seat height is 935 mm. The brake components have also been adapted for off-road use. In front, a floating double-piston caliper decelerates in cooperation with a 300 mm disc.
The dry weight of the ES 700 is 146 kg, and the price is 12,599 euros.
