Improved aerodynamics with winglets

The new aerodynamics were developed in the wind tunnel. Improvements were achieved with a new windshield and winglets integrated into the carbon fairing. An increase in downforce of 8 kg is said to be achieved at a speed of 240 km/h as a result. In addition, the new fender is designed to transport more air to the radiator.

 

Revised engine

The revised 798cc three-cylinder produces 147 PS at 13,000 rpm and 88 Nm at 10,100 rpm. It has been fitted with new valve guides, DLC tappets, titanium valves, redesigned main bearings for reduced friction and new injectors. The engine mapping has also been adjusted accordingly. The exhaust system has also been revised and optimized, which has a corresponding effect on the power curve.

 

Equipment

The MV Agusta F3 RR is equipped with the EAS 3.0 quickshifter.

The rear cast rim has been redesigned, saving 7% in weight. A reduction in inertia of 10% should also be achieved as a result.

Through the new IMU, one wants to better control the driving aids and also take into account the lean angle of the motorcycle. ABS and traction control therefore intervene depending on the lean angle. There are also wheelie and launch controls.

The assistance systems are set and controlled via the 5.5-inch TFT display, which can also be linked to the smartphone via the MVRide app.

 

The bike’s stiffness has been increased and the suspension settings adjusted to match, which should improve handling on the road and track.

 

Optional race kit

MV Agusta also offers an optional racing kit for the F3 RR. In addition to various CNC-machined parts, there is a cover for the pillion seat and a street-legal Akrapovic exhaust system.

This boosts power to 155 hp and reduces weight from 173kg to 165kg (dry).
