In yesterday’s race at the WSBK in Jerez, Jonathan Rea did not get the final turn and crashed into his rival Alex Lowes. The fight for third place has been going on for some time. Lowes crashed as a result of the driving maneuver and the violent touch, making Rea third.

Rea was summoned to the hearing and did not appeal against the sentence. He loses his third place to Marco Melandri and slips to fourth place. As a result, he loses three points in the World Cup and the gap to Alvaro Bautista grows to 55 points.
