Construction and performance

The Svartpilen 801 weighs in at 181 kg and is based on a chrome-molybdenum steel frame that provides a balanced mix of stiffness and flexibility. At the heart of the motorcycle is an in-line two-cylinder DOHC engine with a displacement of 799 cm³ and a dry weight of 52 kg. The specified maximum output is 105 hp (77 kW, 104 hp).

Husqvarna emphasizes the efficiency and reliability of the engine, supported by technologies that not only minimize fuel consumption but also extend service intervals up to 15,000 km.

By combining the lightweight engine and sturdy frame, the Svartpilen 801 aims to provide a good balance between power and weight for agile handling. The Power Assist Slipper Clutch (PASC) and Easy Shift are features designed to maximize traction under acceleration and stability under braking. The adjustable WP APEX suspension with 140 mm travel on the fork and 150 mm on the shock absorber is designed to support both comfort and handling on different road conditions.

Design and equipment in detail

The design of the Svartpilen 801 is defined by its dark colors, which give the bike a contemporary look. This is complemented by functional elements such as the LED lighting for better visibility and the aluminum handlebars, which indicate high-quality equipment. The two-piece seat is designed to provide comfort for both rider and passenger while allowing sufficient freedom of movement for different riding styles.

The equipment of the Svartpilen 801 includes technical features aimed at improving the riding experience. On board are motorcycle traction control (MTC) and ABS for safety. In addition, riding modes such as Street, Rain and Sport are preset, which can adapt the behavior of the motorcycle. The optional Dynamic Pack adds functions such as engine drag torque control (MSR) and an anti-wheelie mode to improve control in different riding conditions.

The tires with Pirelli MT60 RS tires on 17-inch rims are designed to provide good grip and feedback on different road surfaces. The J.Juan braking system, supported by Bosch cornering-dependent ABS, aims to deliver reliable braking performance. A Supermoto ABS mode is also available to provide an adapted braking feel and enable a closer connection to the road.

Connectivity and safety

A 5-inch TFT instrument cluster and a connectivity unit as standard increase the versatility and safety of the motorcycle. By connecting to the Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles app, a range of functions such as navigation, phone calls and music selection become accessible. Integrated warning systems and an immobilizer provide additional protection.

Availability

The Svartpilen 801 is expected to be available at authorized Husqvarna Motorcycles dealers from April 2024, with details on pricing and availability yet to be announced.
