Honda WN7 51
Confirmed name, production timing and major specification details for the Honda WN7 - its first electric motorcycle

Honda WN7: The brand’s first electric motorcycle will go into series production in 2026.

With the Honda WN7, the Japanese manufacturer will launch its first large-volume electric motorcycle at the end of 2025. Series production has been officially confirmed, with the first deliveries to dealers scheduled for early 2026. Interested parties can already pre-order the model from participating dealers. Buyers who register before November 4 will receive a free seat bag.

Price and positioning

According to media reports, the Honda WN7 will be launched in the UK at a price of £12,999 (approx. €15,200 / $16,300). This positions the naked bike in the mid-range segment and, according to Honda, offers an emotional riding experience that deliberately differs from the feel of conventional combustion engines – quiet, low-vibration, and emission-free.

Technical concept and design

The Honda WN7 was first unveiled in 2024 at EICMA in Milan as the “EV FUN Concept.” In its final production version, it largely retains the sleek and futuristic design of the concept vehicle. The model name WN7 is composed of the development motto “Be the Wind” (“W”), the vehicle type “Naked” (‘N’) and the performance level “7”, which indicates its classification in a mid-range performance class.

Engine, performance, and handling

At the heart of the WN7 is a water-cooled electric motor with an output of 18 kW (24.5 hp). Honda promises a performance level comparable to a 600 cc combustion engine model. The torque is particularly remarkable: 100 Nm, which is equivalent to 73.7 lb-ft – values otherwise associated with motorcycles with a displacement of around 1000 cm³. Thanks to a curb weight of 217 kg (478 lbs), the electric motorcycle is said to offer particularly dynamic performance.

Honda is also planning an 11 kW version of the WN7 for riders with an A1 license to make it easier to get into electric mobility.

Battery and charging options

The Honda WN7’s built-in lithium-ion battery is supposed to give it a range of over 130 km (about 80 miles). Two charging modes are available:

CCS2 fast charging: from 20 to 80 percent in 30 minutes
AC wall box (6 kVA): full charge in under 3 hours

This combination allows for charging times suitable for everyday use as well as flexibility when charging at home or on the go at public charging stations.

Features and electronics

The Honda WN7 comes standard with a 5-inch TFT color display. It supports Honda RoadSync, providing smartphone connectivity, navigation, and special EV menus. The lighting also meets current standards: LED lights at the front and rear ensure a modern look and good visibility.

Series production start and further information

While many technical details will not be announced until EICMA 2025 in November, it is already clear that Honda is placing great emphasis on proven brand qualities in the development of the WN7. According to the manufacturer, these include:

  • robust workmanship
  • ease of use
  • high reliability
  • practical driving pleasure

According to Honda, the WN7 has been extensively tested on European roads to achieve a unique riding experience – clearly distinguishable from classic combustion engines, yet familiar enough to make the switch easier for existing customers.
