The Honda CRF 450 R gets an update for the 2022 model year. However, the changes are not particularly large.
The suspension has been retuned. New shim packages in the fork are intended to provide firmer damping in the low-speed range. The oil volume has been slightly reduced. Instead of 15 adjustment positions for rebound and compression, there are now only 13.
The shock absorber also now offers only 8 instead of the previous 11 settings in the rebound damping. It has been tuned stiffer and the oil volume has been slightly increased.
The new ECU mapping is intended to ensure a more linear throttle response and thus better power delivery. Otherwise, only the appearance has changed. Red is extremely dominant on the new Honda CRF 450 R.
