Harley-Davidson wants to attract new riders to the HOG community and has therefore developed two new motorcycles with smaller displacement and affordable price. One of the models has now been unveiled. It is the X350, an entry-level model with 350 cc and a sporty character.
Cooperation with QJ Motor
The X350 was developed in cooperation with QJ Motor. It is based on the QJ Moto SRK350 and the Benelli 352S, but with visual changes designed to make it a true Harley-Davidson.
Performance and features
The liquid-cooled 353cc inline two-cylinder produces 36.7 hp and 31 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is equipped with a six-speed transmission and has adjustable suspension. At the front, an adjustable telescopic fork with a 41 mm diameter works, while at the rear, the monoshock system is adjustable in both spring rate and damping.
The X350 is equipped with LED lighting. The speedometer has a simple analog readout with a small digital display that shows information such as mileage and fuel consumption. The braking system consists of two disc brakes at the front and one disc brake at the rear. There is no mention of ABS function on the main website, but it is mandatory in some countries. However, this does not mean that the model will not be released in markets where ABS is mandatory.
Design and colors
The X350 looks most similar to Harley-Davidson’s Sportster family and has flat-track elements to emphasize its sporty character. The motorcycle is available in three colors: Dazzling Black, Joyful Orange and Bright Silver.
Retail price
The X350 is available in China for 33,388 yuan (4,500 EUR or $4,900). The price may vary depending on the country and region, and of course also depends on the applicable tax and import fees, if any.
Conclusion
The X350 is an affordable entry-level model from Harley-Davidson, developed in conjunction with QJ Motor. The motorcycle offers enough power for novice riders and good features at a reasonable price. It remains to be seen in which markets it will be released and how it will hold up against other motorcycles in this category. The X350 is undoubtedly an attempt by the manufacturer to attract new riders to the world of Harley-Davidson.
