With the Fat Boy Gray Ghost, Harley-Davidson presents the fifth model in its exclusive Icons Motorcycle Collection - strictly limited to 1,990 units worldwide. The special edition honors the 35th anniversary of the Fat Boy, one of the most famous names in the motorcycle world, with a striking appearance and technical enhancements. The price in Germany is €30,700 (approx. $33,100).
Harley-Davidson's quarterly figures for Q1 2025 are on the table - and they paint a bleak picture. The US motorcycle manufacturer is not only struggling with a significant drop in sales, but is also forced to completely withdraw its annual financial forecast for 2025. The reason: a mixture of global economic uncertainty, weakening demand and ongoing trade conflicts.
After five years at the helm of Harley-Davidson, Jochen Zeitz announces his resignation as CEO. The 62-year-old German had already signaled in 2024 that he wanted to leave the company in 2025. The traditional motorcycle manufacturer from Milwaukee has now officially confirmed the ongoing search for a successor. Until a successor is found, Zeitz will remain in office at the request of the Board of Directors. The stock market reacted positively to the news: Harley-Davidson's share price rose by 3.3 percent in pre-market trading.
The dispute between the European Union and the United States is escalating to a new level - and this could have serious consequences for motorcycle manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson, Indian Motorcycle and Zero Motorcycles. The background to this are planned punitive tariffs of 50 percent on US motorcycles with a displacement of more than 500 cm³, which are due to come into force from mid-April 2025. A measure that is likely to put considerable pressure on the European market for US bikes.
