FHO Racing parts ways with Peter Hickman and Davey Todd – New team founded

Back in November, Peter Hickman and Davey Todd were introduced as the new riders of the FHO Racing BMW Team.  Now, just a few weeks later, everything is different: the two TT winners are going their separate ways and will be competing for the newly founded Team 8TEN Racing.

A successful path with a suddenly different outcome

Peter Hickman and the FHO Racing BMW team have regularly been among the front runners in the major road races in recent years.  The Briton has celebrated numerous victories at both the Isle of Man TT and the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix.  It was therefore hardly surprising that the collaboration would continue in 2025.  Davey Todd, reigning BSB Superstock champion, was presented as Hickman’s new team-mate in mid-November in order to make an even stronger showing in the British Superbike Championship (BSB).

However, the ambitious plans came to nothing after just two and a half months.  British media report unanimously that FHO Racing has parted company with both riders.

New team: 8TEN Racing

However, Hickman and Todd remain active in racing together and have founded their own team, 8TEN Racing.  The name is made up of their start numbers in the Tourist Trophy – the 8 stands for Todd, the 10 for Hickman.

Both will continue to compete on factory-supported BMW M 1000 RR machines in the future.  It remains to be seen which racing series they will contest.

This decision marks the end of a successful partnership between Hickman and FHO Racing, while 8TEN Racing opens a new chapter in road racing.
