The Hypermotard 950 gets a new color in the SP version, besides the whole family has been updated for Euro5.
The Hypermotard family consists of the Hypermotard 950, Hypermotard 950 RVE and the Hypermotard 950 SP.
There are no changes to the performance figures of the 937cc Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder engine as a result of the change to Euro5. It produces 114 hp at 9,000 rpm. Maximum torque is 96 Nm at 7,250 rpm.
The transmission has been revised to make it easier to engage neutral when stationary and to ensure maximum precision in gear selection. For this purpose, the system was adopted from the Monster and SuperSport 950. The rotation of the shift drums on bearings allows reduced friction. In addition, the shift lever spring has also been more preloaded. This is to prevent the system from remaining in neutral in the intermediate positions, which should lead to greater precision.
The Hypermotard 950 will be offered in Ducati Red, the Hypermotard 950 RVE with a Graffiti paint job and the Hypermotard 950 SP in a new “SP” paint job. The new livery is intended to remind riders of the world of MotoGP in terms of color and the world of freestyle sports in terms of graphics.
