Successful racing season lays foundation for new models
The year 2025 was another successful one for Ducati in motorsport. In MotoGP, the Borgo Panigale-based brand secured the riders’ title for the fourth time in a row and the manufacturers’ title for the sixth time in a row, complemented by the team classification. Ducati also remains the benchmark in the Superbike segment: with the Panigale V4 R, it not only won the manufacturer’s title in the Superbike World Championship for the fourth time in a row, but also the IDM title in Germany and the CIV SBK Production Bike Championship in Italy. According to Ducati, these successes demonstrate the performance and reliability of the current model generation.
Hypermotard V2: 20 years of “Hyper” – more modern, lighter, more powerful
Two decades after the premiere of the first Hypermotard prototype, Ducati is celebrating the next generation: the new Hypermotard V2 and Hypermotard V2 SP. The fourth generation of the Hypermotard has been completely redesigned and, with a new technical basis and revised design, is said to offer even more agile handling.
The weight has been reduced by 13 kg (approx. 28.7 lbs) and 14 kg (approx. 30.9 lbs) for the SP version, respectively. With the new V2 engine, the Hypermotard V2 now delivers 120 hp (88 kW) and achieves a maximum torque of 94 Nm. Seventy percent of this torque is already available at 3,000 rpm, promising powerful acceleration.
The SP version stands out with striking design elements, a special anniversary paint job, gold Öhlins suspension elements, white forged wheels, and Brembo M50 brake calipers. According to Ducati, the technical components make the model even sportier and more agile.
Fifth generation Monster: Reinterpreted, on display for the first time
With the new fifth-generation Monster, Ducati aims to continue the history of one of the brand’s most important models. The new edition is based on the V2 IVT engine and is set to raise the bar in terms of both lightweight construction and rideability. The design has been reinterpreted, but remains unmistakably Monster-typical with its bison-back-shaped tank, distinctive headlight, and short seat.
DesertX 2026: Lighter, more off-road capable, more versatile
Four years after its market launch, Ducati is presenting a revised DesertX, which is expected to be available from May 2026. The focus is on technical improvements such as a new chassis with progressive rear suspension. The motorcycle weighs 206 kg (approx. 454.2 lbs) without fuel and is powered by a new V2 IVT engine that delivers 110 hp (81 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 92 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The DesertX 2026 is designed to offer more versatility and riding pleasure both off-road and on asphalt.
Off-road models: Desmo250 MX and Desmo450 Enduro
The off-road range is expanded with the two world premieres Desmo250 MX and Desmo450 Enduro. These models will be available through the Ducati off-road dealer network starting in July 2026. The Desmo450 MX has already celebrated sporting successes in the Italian MX1 Prestige and at this year’s MXGP World Championship. Ducati has also announced its entry into the US AMA Supercross series in 2026.
Panigale V2 MM93 and FB63: Special models for Márquez and Bagnaia
Ducati is honoring factory riders Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia with two limited edition Panigale V2 special models. Both variants feature special features such as forged wheels (1.5 kg or 3.3 lbs weight saving), Öhlins steering dampers, special handlebar stubs, milled triple clamps, and racing windshields. The paintwork is based on the helmet designs of the two riders.
New colors: Panigale and Streetfighter V4/V2, “Giallo Ducati” returns
The Panigale V4 S Corse and Streetfighter V4 S Corse feature MotoGP-inspired paint schemes with traditional Ducati red and fluorescent accents. The Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 see the return of “Giallo Ducati,” an iconic yellow color variant that originated in the 1970s.
Scrambler: Two new style kits
Ducati is also offering two new styling kits for the Scrambler models. The “Retro Stripe” kit is reminiscent of the 1970s, while the “Old Skool Checkerboard” kit features a classic racing flag design.
Events and meet & greets at EICMA
In addition to the new products, Ducati is hosting numerous events and meet & greets with riders and brand ambassadors. Highlights include autograph sessions with Álvaro Bautista, Alessandro Lupino, Tony Cairoli, Davide Stirpe, and Kevin Vandi. The “Champions Charity Race” will also take place over the weekend with prominent participants such as Francesco Cecchini.
Conclusion
With a wide range of new products and successful racing models, Ducati is presenting itself at EICMA 2025 as a brand steeped in tradition and driven by innovation. The focus is on technological advances as well as a clear commitment to the company’s motorsport DNA and anniversary heritage.
