CFMoto has recently released the technical specifications of its brand new 675cc three-cylinder engine.  This engine will be the heart of the upcoming CFMoto 675 SR, a sportbike prototype that was unveiled at the ZhuZhou International Festival back in October this year.

Innovative engine for future models

The new engine is characterized by its liquid-cooled three-cylinder and can achieve an output of over 100 hp (100.6 hp, 75 kW) at 12,300 rpm and a maximum torque of 68 Nm at 8,250 rpm.  This is combined with a six-speed gearbox.

CFMoto emphasizes that the engine enables remarkable acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in “less than three seconds”, although this has yet to be proven.  Another highlight is the weight of the engine, which at just 55 kg is 10 percent lighter than comparable engines from other brands, according to the Chinese manufacturer.  This was achieved by using forged aluminum pistons, among other things.

Lightweight with high performance

The lightness of the engine, a key element for the performance of the motorcycle, contributes to the fact that the CFMoto 675SR will be characterized by exceptional agility and dynamics.  The engine is designed to demonstrate CFMoto’s ability to develop innovative technologies that deliver both performance and efficiency.

Versatile application possibilities

In addition to integration into the CFMoto 675SR, the company plans to use this three-cylinder engine as the basis for various new models planned for 2024.  This strategy points to the engine’s versatility and underlines CFMoto’s ambition to continue to establish itself as a major player in the motorcycle industry internationally.
