Technical similarities to the TVS Apache RR 310
The G310RR shares many components with the TVS Apache RR 310, as both models are based on the same platform and are manufactured by TVS in India. It therefore stands to reason that BMW will equip the new G310RR with the same updates that have already been introduced on the revised TVS Apache RR 310.
These are likely to include:
- a 38 hp (27.9 kW) single-cylinder engine,
- an enlarged air filter box,
- a bidirectional quickshifter,
- cruise control,
- and launch control.
The power rating represents an increase compared to the previous model, which was rated at around 34 hp (25 kW). Torque figures have not yet been confirmed, but are likely to be in line with the previous model.
Pricing: Cheaper than the previous model?
Another interesting aspect is the pricing strategy. According to initial information, the new G310RR is to be offered at a lower price than the current model. This is made possible by tax adjustments in India following the recent GST revision. Specific prices are not yet available.
BMW’s only entry into India – for now
The G310RR is currently BMW Motorrad’s only entry-level model on the Indian market. Further models in the lower price segment are in preparation. The upcoming BMW F450GS – also developed in collaboration with TVS – is expected to be officially unveiled at EICMA 2025. The market launch in India is scheduled to follow.
