As previously reported Kawasaki wanted to take over shares of Bimota. Now they are already presenting their first joint model.

Kawasaki now owns 49.9% of Bimota, the Swiss entrepreneur Maco Chiancianesi and Daniele Longoni kept the rest of the shares for themselves.
Bimota is famous for its Tesi models with axle steering. The prototype of a new Tesi has now been introduced at the Eicma. Basically, a Kawasaki H2 is converted into a Tesi, because many parts, such as engine and exhaust, come from the compressor model.
At the front a second swingarm is mounted. The built-in guided hub is controlled via pushrods. At the back is a normal swingarm. The spring elements of Öhlins are electronically controlled. Braking is done with Brembo components.
The side wings are not missing even with the TesiH2. Light carbon was used for this. The noble material is found almost everywhere on the motorcycle. It would be quite possible that the complete fairing consists of carbon fiber and was partially painted only in color.
Exact data have not yet been announced. The production model is to be presented at the end of 2020.
