Patent information has appeared on the Internet showing that Aprilia is working on a three-wheeled motorcycle in the Yamaha Niken style. The tiltable front suspension was attached to a Mana 850, as shown in the photo composition by Motorcycle News.
The Mana 850 is Aprilia’s automatic motorcycle equipped with CVT, a continuously variable transmission. It is therefore as easy to ride as a scooter.
Actually, it was clear that a Niken competitor could come from Aprilia, since Aprilia belongs to the Piaggio group and they already have experience with leaning multiwheelers.
The Aprilia construction is much simpler than that of the Niken. Instead of a telescopic fork, wishbones were used on an upright suspension, as is the case with many cars.
