It has been clear for a long time that Aprilia will launch an adventure motorcycle with the 660cc parallel twin. Now Aprilia has unveiled the Tuareg 660.
The engine, known from the RS and Tuono, has been slightly revised for use in the Tuareg. 80 HP and 70 Nm it will quiet in the adventure bike. The dry weight is 187 kg.
It is equipped with Aprilia Performance Ride Control, four riding modes (two customizable), ABS (can also be deactivated), traction control, adjustable engine map, adjustable engine brake and cruise control. Driving data is displayed via a 5-inch TFT display.
The wheelbase is just under 1,500 mm, and the suspension travel of the 43mm fork and monoshock shock is 240mm. The tank holds 18 liters. The seat height is given as 860 mm. Further data are not yet known, but should certainly be provided soon.
