The concept bike Tuono 660 was shown for the first time in November and is based on the already presented RS660. In the meantime, design images have been submitted to the European Patent Office that contain a few minor changes.
At the latest when the design application is submitted, it should be clear that the Aprilia Tuono 660 will go into production. Like the RS660, the 660cc two-cylinder, which was derived from the 1100cc V4, is used.
In the Tuono, the engine is tuned somewhat differently and is said to produce 94 hp. In the RS660, according to information that has not yet been confirmed, it has 98 hp.
The changes in the design application are only minimal and show a slightly expanded paneling on the underside, which parts of the exhaust system should better cover.
The two middle-class athletes are equipped with technologies that are otherwise not found on motorcycles up to 100 HP. Cornering ABS, wheelie control, quick shifter including blipper, engine brake control and several driving modes have already been confirmed.
