On the Asian market, sporty entry-level motorcycles are very popular. The GPX Demon GR200 has now been launched onto the market.
So in the future, the Thai manufacturer will have to compete with well-known giants like Yamaha, Honda or Suzuki in the 200cc segment. But also competitors like CFMoto or Loncin are pushing more and more into this fast growing market.
The GPX Demon GR200 is equipped with a liquid-cooled 200cc single-cylinder engine that produces 19 hp and 17.2 Nm and was manufactured in China. Purely visually, the front end is reminiscent of the Yamaha R1 and also overall the Demon looks bigger than it really is.
The engine was transplanted into a trellis frame, which uses the engine as a supporting element. LED technology is used for the lighting. Ready to ride 155 kg are specified.
Damping is provided at the front with a gold anodized upside-down fork and with a YSS shock absorber at the rear wich can be adjusted in preload. The seat height is 815 mm. The GPX Demon GR200 stands on 100/80 17-inch and 140/70 17-inch tires.
It is priced at 11,388 Malaysian ringgit, which is the equivalent of about $2775 or 2,300 euros.
