MotoGP is currently in its winter break. While riders and teams prepare for the 2026 season, the traditional kick-off away from the racetrack is approaching. Even before the first official test drives, all teams will present their new designs. All the dates have now been confirmed.
Kick-off in January: Pramac opens the launch season
Pramac Yamaha will kick off the 2026 MotoGP year. The team will unveil its new colors for the first time in Siena on January 13. Special attention will be paid to the new rider duo, as Pramac will compete with Toprak Razgatlioglu and Jack Miller for the first time.
Just one day later, VR46 Racing will follow suit in Rome. The team associated with Valentino Rossi has chosen “Black and Light” as the motto for its presentation. On January 15, Aprilia Racing will conclude the early Italian week with a launch in Milan.
Italian focus and long-distance travel
On January 19, Ducati Lenovo will present its new bike in Madonna di Campiglio, as is tradition. In recent years, the Italian ski resort has served as the stage for the factory team on several occasions.
On January 21, things will take on an international flavor. Monster Energy Yamaha will unveil its M1 in Jakarta. On the same day, Trackhouse Racing will also reveal its new colors, although the exact location has not yet been announced.
KTM Factory Racing and the Tech3 customer team will make a joint appearance on January 27. As in the previous year, both teams will be presented at a combined launch event.
Launches around the Sepang Test
At the end of the month, all eyes will be on Asia. Gresini Racing will present its Ducati in Kuala Lumpur on January 31. The date coincides with the last evening of the shakedown test in Sepang.
One day later, LCR Honda will follow with the presentation of its own design for 2026. Here, too, the venue has not yet been specified.
Honda concludes the presentation phase
Honda HRC Castrol will be the last team to unveil the new RC213V on February 2. The presentation will take place online via livestream. This means that the factory team has chosen the latest date of all participants.
Honda is once again relying on Joan Mir and Luca Marini in 2026. Both riders have remained loyal to the team and are expected to build on the progress they made in the previous season. Mir is entering his fourth year with Honda, while Marini is contesting his third season on the RC213V.

The presentations will be followed by the sporting part of the preparations. The shakedown test in Sepang is scheduled for the end of January, with the first official MotoGP test taking place in early February. The first race weekend of the 2026 season will take place one week after the final tests in Buriram.
