Isle of Man TT 2017 – die zweite Qualifying-Session

Die zweite Qualifying-Session wurde wieder vom Wetter vermasselt. Nur eine Runde konnten die Fahrer abschließen. Der einsetzende Nebel wurde zu stark.

In der kurzen Zeit die zur Verfügung stand waren Ian Hutchinson und Michael Dunlop wieder die Schnellsten in der Superbike-Klasse.  Beide verbesserten ihre Zeiten von gestern. Hutchy schaffte mit der Tyco BMW einen Schnitt von 128.98 mph. Dunlop erreichte mit der Bennetts Suzuki 127,23 mph.

Guy Martin landete auf Platz 15 mit 121.42 mph. Mit 116.35 konnte Horst Saiger seine Runde abschließen. Platz 22.

Drittschnellster wurde wieder Dan Kneen. In der Superstock-Klasse war er damit wieder der Schnellste. Peter Hickman und Steve Mercer folgten auf Platz zwei und drei.

Bei den 600cc, der Supersport-Klasse, konnte sich Lee Johnston mit der Padgetts Honda und einer Zeit von 122.16 mph an die Spitze setzen.

 

Der erste Unfall 2017

Dave Sellars stürzte am Gooseneck. Zuerst hieß es er sei OK, wurde dann aber doch ins Krankenhaus gebracht wegen Rippenverletzungen. Genaues wurde noch nicht bekannt gegeben. Gute Besserung an der Stelle
